Wave 4
Welcome to Wave 4 - Advanced Access & Efficiency for Primary Care
By participating in Advanced Access and Efficiency for Primary Care, you will learn, test, and implement best practices, change concepts, and approaches to improvement that will enable you and your team to "do today's work today." Over the past two years 121 teams that were enrolled in earlier learning initiatives were able to reduce their Third Next Available appointment (TNA) time from an average of 17 days to two days, with some achieving a TNA of zero days. Some primary care practices were also able to translate these reduced wait times and improved access to a reduction in the use of walk-in-clinics and local emergency departments visits. Primary care providers were offered an opportunity to experience these benefits in their own practices by participating in Wave 4 in either the Independent or Quality Improvement Coach-Supported Learning. Information about Wave 5 will be posted in the near future. You can join the Independent Learning approach at any time by clicking the "Join Now" button.
Independent Learning Program
If you want to learn and implement the principles on your own, you can join the Independent Learning Program at any time to access online tools and resources. The road map is based on a six month timeline, but this may vary depending on your situation.
